The Charity Shop is part of the aftercare project to look after people in and out of the Nigeria Prisons. We hope to establish it in all the Nigeria States within three years. We are going to create training and job opportunity for ex convicts, in other to reduce re offending and the congestion in the Nigeria Prisons etc.

We thank everyone and especially the stable and committed members.

The first charity shop in the history of Lagos State and Nigeria was established and commissioned in August 2017 by HPWI and the second in Nigeria and the first in the history of Ogun State was established and commissioned on Friday 28th September 2018 in Ogun State by HPWI in partnership with The Nigeria Prisons Service. The Controller of Ogun State Prisons Command was represented by ASP Awesu while the Deputy Controller of  Prison, the Officer incharge old Abeokuta prison Ibara Abeokuta was represented by ASP Sanni .The Ogun State Prisons Public Relation Officer  SoP Victor Oyeleke was there for support and with NTA crew  the Vanguard press men and Fm radio Station.

Among the people at the event are Alhaji Adekunle Adegbite, The former Financial Permanent Secretary for Ogun State and the present Secretary of all the permanent Secretaries in Ogun State, ( Alhaji Adegbite secured 12 plots of land for HPWI through the Ogun State Governor – land documents in progress), Engr. Pastor Bode Alugo, Engr.  Kitoyi Samuel and Mrs A O Samuel, Barrister Kayode Agbogunleri, Asiwaju Gbolahan, etc.

We give thanks to Almighty God for the successful outcome of the commissioning.
